One of the main aims of this project is to present a positive image of the TG community to the general public. To that end, we have been chasing up a few possibilities for exhibiting photos from the collection "in the real world" (i.e. beyond just doing stuff at Sparkle ;o)
I just heard recently that we have been successful and a community image project proposal has been accepted by the International Conference on Digital Live Art , which will be held in Leeds this September. This will involve the presentation of an installation based on the community image project photos to be exhibited at Leeds Metropolitan Gallery. This represents quiet a foray into the mainstream as this isn't a TG event but an international, peer-reviewed digital arts conference and exhibition.
