18 Aug 10 - I am taking a break from Flickr for a bit so I have upgraded some members to admin/moderator in the hope that at least one will take on the role of keeping the group nice and tidy. If you do not want the role, please feel free to demote yourself. Alternatively, if anyone would like to be moderator, please let the admin know.

Thanks for all your support and bye for now,

thurrockdave.

About Tramlink

Pictures of and relating to the Tramlink network.

1. The image must relate to Tramlink only.

2. The image must mainly FEATURE the above, not some coincidental pin-prick in the distance. ;)

3. Where a tram is featured the unit number should be added to the tags. This will help research of the trams for members projects. Don't worry if you miss this tag, I will add it for you.

Tramlink (originally and sometimes still called Croydon Tramlink) is a tramway system in south London in the United Kingdom which began operation in May 2000. The service is operated by London Tramlink, part of Transport for London (TfL).

Tramlink serves seven National Rail stations but has only one interchange with London Underground; one of the factors leading to its creation was that the area around Croydon has no Underground service.

Tramlink runs on a mixture of street track shared with other traffic, dedicated track in public roads, and off-street track consisting of new rights-of-way, former railway lines, and one section of alignment, though not track, shared with a third rail electrified Network Rail line.
