Trailwalker is a 100-kilometre trek for teams of four people with a 30-hour time limit. Anyone aged 18 or over can take part – from colleagues and clients, to pub quiz teams and siblings. Although the course record is less than 10 hours, most people take between 25 and 30 hours to finish – which doesn’t allow time for sleeping!
The route follows the South Downs Way from Petersfield to Brighton with stunning views across to the Channel. The event was first held more than 25 years ago by the Queen’s Gurkha Signals Regiment (QGS), in Hong Kong, as a training exercise.
