About FlickrTours
Revised Rules July, 2005:
Tours of flickr member photos created by members who are acting as tour guides.
If you collect favorites and save contacts from flickr members, create a tour of the photos. Organize your tour by subject matter and share your tour. Must have one and only one photo to represent your tour in the group pool. Ideally this means that 7 photos in the group pool = 7 tours listed in the group discussion as separate topics. See the MASTER LIST topic of the tours created thus far.
A suggested guideline is that only one or just a few images from each flickr member may be included in your tour. This is designed to deter members from just promoting themselves or a couple friends. With the new Mosaic Maker, it is now possible to make tours easier than ever.If it is a large tour, your list may have a several images from another flickr member. It is recommended that in these tours, the Tour Guide would have the courtesy to notify members within flickr whose images are included.
Tours must have 10 or more photos included, and a description of your tour, hopefully beyond just giving links. In the discussion group, you will provide links to all of the photos that are in your tour. You may also put the individual links on your representative photo page or as added notes on your representative photo's web page.
Do not knowingly use an image that is copyright-protected or it is clear that the member does NOT want their image and link to be shared within this flicker group. Please remove any image if requested to do so by the member who shared an image originally in flickr.
Flickr members may now have a chance to discover members who have an eye for what interests you. Showcase and promote your theme and other flickr members with your tour. Your own saved "favorites", your own "contacts" and special images deserve little gallery tours. Tag the representative photo for your tour with FlickrTour
