Tosa Farmer's Market, a project of the Fire Fly Foundation, Ltd., is a volunteer-run open air market that brings locally-grown fruits and vegetables and foods crafted by Wisconsin artisans directly to the people of Wauwatosa and surrounding communities. TFM embraces a "buy local" ethos that fosters a greener, more sustainable city, bringing the community together in the process.

The market is located in the municipal parking lot underneath the Underwood Bridge between Hoyt and Hart parks along the Menomonee River. It is also located next to the charmingly refurbished, historic landmark "The Little Red Store," which serves as Wauwatosa's visitors' center.

Wauwatosa, Wisconsin is a city of 45,498 residents (as of 2007). Located just beyond Milwaukee's City Limits, "Tosa" is a bustling suburb with multiple business districts, a world-class shopping center (Mayfair), and 27 neighborhoods, 22 of which have active neighborhood associations. We are a well-connected community with big city amenities and a close-knit, small-town vibe. We communicate as much at our schools, cafes and community events as we do through 21st century media such as Facebook, blogs, and our online community newspaper, wauwatosanow.com. We value simple, fresh, organic living and support the arts. We're a highly pedestrian community, with much of our resources within walking distance. On any given day through the spring, summer, and fall, there are as many folks walking and biking on our streets as there are in cars driving through. We feel that this combination of unique factors makes Wauwatosa uniquely positioned to have a highly successful outdoor market.
