Hey, I can be upmarkety, high cultured and snotty. I've sent back more than one Big Mac in my time.
And I'll be there!

I thought I might make the afternoon, but apparently I will be in home-improvement stores in the suburbs. Yay?

I may make it in the afternoon, depending on the weather. Snowy and pretty = likely; dull and cloudy = unlikely.

Hoping to make it too, depending on two weather conditions, whether the weather's good and whether or not I have to work. :)

Just moved to Toronto 3 months back from the east coast, I have been wanting to go on one of these walks. Looking forward to meeting all that attend.

We're going to the Grapefruit Moon? Do not mention the Food Network show Restaurant Makeover when we're there! :)

They were the subject of one of the early episodes, probably the most famous one, because it's the only one where the owner states "I hate what they've done to my restaurant!" at the end of the show.

Is that the one where you hear the owner's wife off camera crying at the end. A classic!

No, this is one of the 30-minute long episodes with the ex-Canadian Forces chef... his one and only appearance on the show... who packs his knives up in disgust once he's finished preparing the dinner for the reveal. The closing credits state the owner sells the new chairs and paints the walls black. I'm looking forward to seeing what the place is like; many of the places I've been to that have received the RM treatment reverted back to their pre-reno menus, and the quality of the reno work is... well, cheap looking!

I have seen some of their work as well. The Ossawippi in Orillia, which is now closed and won't ever be re-opening. And a place near where I live that went from a pub called the Slippery Boot to Locavore. The Locavore did the reveal and promptly closed again for MORE renovations. Eventually they shut down and someone else opened up a new restaurant there.

The Ossawippi closed? Too bad... I know a few people who went there and they said it was a good restaurant.

I'll defintely be there, at least through lunch at Desotos. Grapefruit Moon sounds interesting, but I think I'll be done before that.
I've missed too many of the recent walks, so I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again tomorrow!

I won't be able to make it this time. Too bad, as it sounds like an interesting itinerary. Enjoy.
