Torontoist is all about anything and everything in Toronto, one of the world's most photogenic cities. Flickr is every photographer's dream. It seemed only natural that the two should hook up.
We use photos from the Flickr group for all sorts of reasons, whether for our daily Photoist (a featured shot from the group chosen every morning), our topical posts that we need a great complementary image for, or, in some cases, just to feature some amazing shots that are submitted to the group. For our sake and yours, whenever possible please upload shots to the pool that are at least 640 pixels wide (the width of Torontoist's main column); otherwise, we're much less able to feature them.
By submitting photos to this group, then, you grant us permission to show your photos on Torontoist—and Torontoist's partners, like the Globe and Mail, permission to use a small, thumbnail-sized version of your photo, online only, to link out to the full Torontoist article in which it was used. Rest assured that we'll always give you credit and link back to your image; we're all about giving the shots in the group as much exposure as we can.
