Many, two more stickies and the front page of TSG will never show any discussion activity. Since the stickies are not going to change much over time, that looks pretty boring. I know we're real keen to have discovered stickies, but couldn't we stick them someplace else?

Yeah, I think some of these should go in reply to the main FAQ post :)

Hi Reimar,
Why not? The stickies are there to be developed as we go. It is not static information. The idea is that people will post to the threads and admins will cut/paste the relevant info into the main body of the message on top of the page. We have one for "Strobist related" and one for "non-Strobist related". We also need a place where people can suggest Questions that should be in our FAQ (preferably with answers). These plus the FAQ are it as far as I can see. When events are announced they will also be stickied until the day after. If you need to see more you can always use the more discussion link.
@Jen, which ones? I've posted links, not questions.

Wow, meticulous job, Many. Past and future generations will be grateful for your contributions. In fact, I agree with Reimar; all those information can get lost (or invisible) amongst all other postings. We need to post (move) them to a permanent place—if possible.

Hey Oz - in Many's defense, that was the idea behind the stickies. This post will always be on top. My concern was that after a while the stickies will not change much and will block seeing actual discussions listed on the front page.
But I think if we end up with only two stickies in the long run, we should be good.

Oh, I see... then, I agree once again : )))
Then, another solution would be that we have only one sticky which includes just links to a permanent blog page (blogspot.com kind of free account)—which will serve only to that purpose.
No matter what, I think that it would be a good idea to separate the stickies from the main discussions (for the reason you mentioned above as well). There is a labor and a very useful information in there.

Okay.......heard the message :-)......stickies no more......just on the FAQ. You can find the links to the other docs from the FAQ post. I guess some people won't see the posts, but that's okay. If you have better ideas let me know.....i "might" do them, as long as I don't have to burn too many calories/brain cells :-).

Many,
Great job, and will hopefully only get better. A couple small points -
The link to Zack Arias' white seamless tutorial should be changed to his current (migrated) blog:
zackarias.com/for-photographers/photo-resources/white-sea...
The old link still works, but it's on a site that has had infection problems (hence his abandonment of it), and may disappear.
Some of the links in the first section are actually sub-links within the Strobist blog. It might be helpful to re-organize the list so that the links that are on the strobist blog (Lighting 101, 102, O/A, Gel Usage) were tucked directly underneath the main Strobist link, and perhaps indented with a "--" (double dash) or something similar.
Thanks again,
Ian.

Hey Ian,
Thanks for the suggestions......I think it looks okay now. I can't use nbsp in the code to indent, so I used --> instead. I think it works (kinda)......
