WHAT IS THIS ABOUT?
We are showcasing the best vintage photos (colour/B&W) from before 1970 that combine quality and originality. Every picture tells a story.

Not just any old photo! Please be aware that this group is about photos that convey feeling, emotion or meaning. What we don't like are the static photos of subjects posing. There are numerous other groups for such photos. We want that one SPECIAL photo.

PLEASE NOTE: do not upload photos that have not received an invite. Photos uploaded to the pool will first appear in an approval queue. Only if they have an invite, will they appear in the pool. Photos without an invite will be removed without explanation. Thanks for your consideration.

I RECEIVED AN INVITE. NOW WHAT?
If you have received an invite in your pictures comments, you can join us WITH A LINK TO YOUR AWARDED PHOTO in the request, please. When your membership has been approved, please tag your photo "topvintage" and upload it to the pool.

CAN I UPLOAD WHAT I WANT?
Well, in addition to the invite, there must be a personal relation between you and the posted photo. You do not need to be the photographer, but not only must you have the rights to the photo, but a narrative as well. Keep these criteria in mind when inviting photos by other Flickrites!
By the way, 5 photos per day max!

DO I NEED TO COMMENT ON OTHER PHOTOS IN THE POOL
Sharing is commenting, we feel. So yes, please, take the trouble (or rather: the pleasure) to look at the other photos and comment 2, after each photo posted (using the code that you will find below). Please do it right away!

CAN I INVITE OTHER PHOTOS?
As a member you are encouraged to scout for quality vintage photos on Flickr and invite them if the meet the criteria (see also the rules). Use the code that you will find below. Please, no more than 5 invites per day.
Sorry, non-members cannot invite. You can also not invite yourself.

SOME MORE STUFF
An invite is for ONE photo only. To add more pictures every individual shot needs to have the invite.

If you would like to join but not received an invite, then please place a thumbnail of your image that you think deserves the award in the thread provided.

Only Images bearing the Flickrs Top Vintage Logo are to be uploaded to the group pool. Please remember to 'Tag' your image 'topvintage'

Images without 'Invite' will be removed from the pool without notice. Please be aware that EVERY image should have an invite or award in order to be on the pool. If you added an image without invite and it was removed by an admin, DO NOT add it again until the image has received an invite or award.
