The aim at Top Pics is to accept high-quality outstanding photos from around the world. This is a group where we submit our own hopeful photo and critically comment on other people's until you reach 10 accept or 10 reject votes. There is nothing new in the format of this group. It has been done before, but what is unique here is the delivery of the criticism. As stated in the group name- this is a wanker-free zone. So childish, spiteful cyber bullies need not participate. Pictures will be commented on in a CONSTRUCTIVE manner.

Stand out sentences are:

The interior photo, with its disembodied figure, is as warm as the exterior of the building is cool.

The cars headlight trails in 'City Hall, Cork City' enhance this well exposed nighttime image; 'Heathrow Express, London' is nicely composed, but the man's profile gets a little lost in the background detail.

The out of focus silhouette in 'Morning Airport' would really be better as the in focus subject of this image, but the overall effect is good.

Finally 'Waiting for the Metro' combines flash and motion blur to make an effective image.

Then finish it off with an Accept or a Reject.

Not all of us are as articulate as that newspaper writer or perhaps English is your second language, but we must all make an effort.

Swearing. is fine as long as it's positive so 'This is fvckin brilliant!' is acceptable, but 'What the fvck is this load of shite' is not. Extreme negative adjectives like horrible, awful and dreadful are not welcome either.

Here is the order in which you should enter the group:.

1. Comment on everyone's pictures in the group. This must be constructive. At the end write Accept or Reject and number them (e.g. Accept, Accept2, etc and the same for Reject). Tag them too!

2. Enter a photo and tell everyone what category it falls under. (e.g. Here is my photo submitted in Top Pics under the category Architecture) The category list is below.

3. Come back and visit regularly to see if any new photos have arrived and comment on them as well.

4. Once you receive 10 accept votes, you will enter the Top Pics Hall of Fame. If you get 10 reject votes first, then your photo will be deleted from the group by you or the moderator.

5. You can then submit a new pic.
