About Top 50 Portraits That Tell a Story

The goal of this pool is to hold the top 50 Portraits That Tell A Story, much like Flickr's 100 Best.

--RULES--

Photos must follow the rules set forth in Portraits That Tell A Story.

In addition to that, here are the rules for playing the game:

To challenge a photo

First make sure the photo you want to challenge is avaliable for challenging. It must have a comment in it that says:

Congrats, this photo is now one of the Top 50 Portraits That Tell A Story. You can now be challenged.

Also make sure that the photo is not already being challenged by somebody else, because a photo may only be challenged once at a time (you can tell if it is currently being challenged by looking to see if it has the tag top50pttasChallenged.

Write in your photo description a link to the photo you're challenging, as well as a link to this group. So your description would have something like this in it:

This photo is challenging [link to challenged photo], from the <a
href="http://www.flickr.com/groups/top50pttas">Portraits That Tell A Story</a> group.

Then you must post a comment on the photo you are challenging, posting a link to your photo, as well as a link to this group. So your comment would look something like this:

This photo has been challenged by [link to your photo], from the <a
href="http://www.flickr.com/groups/top50pttas">Portraits That Tell A Story</a> group.

You must also add the following tag on the photo you are challenging:

top50pttasChallenged

You may then post your photo to the pool to be voted on.

IF YOU DO NOT FOLLOW THESE RULES, YOUR CHALLENGE WILL NOT BE VALID AND YOUR PHOTOGRAPH DELETED FROM THE POOL.

When the challenge is over and if you won, just wait. An Admin will come and post a comment saying that you won, and then your photo can be challenged by other photos. If you lost, DELETE YOUR OWN PHOTO FROM THE POOL. Do not make me do this for you.

When Challenged

When you're photo has been challenged, simply add something like the following in the photo's description:

This photo has been challenged by [link to your photo], from the <a
href="http://www.flickr.com/groups/top50pttas">Portraits That Tell A Story</a> group.

Then watch the other photo. When the challenge is over, delete the "top50pttasChallenged" tag from your photo. If you won, you get to stay in the pool. If you lost, DELETE YOUR OWN PHOTO FROM THE POOL. Please don't make me do this for you. That would make me angry, and you wouldn't like me when I'm angry.

How to vote

All votes are cast at the challenging photo. Do not place your votes on the defending photo, they will not be counted.

Simply write a comment saying which photo you think is best and why.

Then if you wish to vote for the challenging photo, add this in your comment:

Vote#_ Challenger (<a
href="http://www.flickr.com/groups/top50pttas">Top 50 PTTAS</a>)

Replacing the "_" with the number of your vote.

Then add the tag "Vote#_ Challenger," to the photo, replacing the underscore with the number of your vote.

If you wish to vote for the defending photo, you must do the same as if you were voting for the challenger only replace "Challenger" with "Defender" in both the comment and the tag.

IF YOU DO NOT WRITE BOTH A COMMENT AND ADD A TAG, YOUR VOTE WILL NOT COUNT. FURTHERMORE, YOU MAY NOT VOTE ON YOUR OWN CONTEST.

How to win

Whichever photo recieves ten votes first wins.
