About Top 30 Red

Welcome to the Top 30 System! The Top 30 groups are self-moderated and based on trust. Please read these guidelines:

Our goal is to keep this pool at 30 best images of red at a time and invite the most lasting shots to Top 30 Winners. If you receive a Moderator or Admin status, you should be able to delete from the pool and approve new pictures. Admins can also promote recently joined members to Moderators, after the careful review of their photo stream (search for quality pictures on topic - tagged red). If you are not promoted right away, try posting more often and notify the winners regularly - an admin will probably notice that you are an active and considerate member! You may also ask for promotion a in discussion thread - use the ones already open, like Questions - Problems - Ideas.


Administrators: In order to prevent this group from being vandalized or ending up private like most of the Top 20 groups, do not promote directly to Admin unless you know and really trust a member!

Moderators: Whenever you post or just visit the group, please check if we have more than 30 photos and eliminate the ones that need improvement or are off-topic. If all are masterpieces, just notify/invite the oldest ones from the bottom before removing them. Also, when there are photos waiting in queue for approval, please eliminate one from the pool for every new shot. Try not to delete from the first row (newest additions) unless they are off-topic or already notified and invited to Top 30 Winners.

Members: Send your best red shot to the group if you want it to lasts more than others (it might be pending until an online moderator replaces one from the pool with yours). After your photo is removed, you can post another to see how far it goes or if it makes it until the end of the pool. You are allowed to compete with the same photo twice if it didn't reach the final spot or it wasn't notified, but only after a month or so from deletion.
