About Top 20 Travel Portraits

This group is specifically for portraits of people taken in ANY country BESIDES the one you live in. They CANNOT be of your traveling buddies or friends from your country that you met while traveling. Ideally the nationality of the person will be the same as the country it was taken in, but this is not a requirement. If you're Irish, a portrait taken in the US is fine, and likewise.

A FACE SHOULD be completely, or at LEAST partly visible, except in rare circumstances when the entire photo, or pose, or circumstances provide a 'portrait' as it were, of the person in question.

Everyone has admin status. If you see someone who hasn't been promoted, PLEASE take the time to promote them.

All other rules are the same as other top 20 groups. Add one, delete one- no more than one by a user in the pool at a time, etc. etc.

Here's some code to tell people that you saw their photo in this pool. Copy and past everything BETWEEN the stars ( * ). If you do end up including them it's not the end of the world though....:

Below are the rules as described by the top 20 Chile Portraits group, and they are all applicable here exactly as written:

1- Please add this tag to all posted shots: "top20travelportraits". (View archives)

2- This is an open group. Everyone here has ADMIN status. Please review the Members List often, and promote new members by clicking on the Manage Members link. If you've just joined us, please be patient until someone promotes you.

3- Anyone can post - but only 1 photo per user in the pool at any given time. If you have more then one picture in the pool your photo's will be deleted except for 1!

4- Do not repost your deleted photos unless you need to (ie. multiple posting and deleted a number of pics to accommodate his/her photos).

5- All members can delete. If you have just joined, wait until you are promoted to ADMIN (you will not be able to delete until done so).

6- No more than 20 photo's in the pool, at any given time. If you upload one, you must delete one. Keep an eye on the number of photos in the pool, if there are less than 20 photos in the pool, you should not delete any.

7- Review the member list often, as a member you must promote new members.
You do this as follows (directions):
a)From the main page, click the Administration link (on top of this page)
b)Click on "Members" link
c)Click the "Promote" button listed next to any newbies that are shown.

8- Make use of the group pool discussion board! Reply to, or start new threads and check regularly for replies!
