About TOP 20 DOGS
FLICKR'S TOP DOGS! The TOP 20 DOG photos on the internet! Open to all species of canine; from the noble wolf (coyotes, wild dogs, dingos, etc), to the humble diminuative chihuahua. Once a month, one lucky canine is plucked from the pool or chosen from the archives and featured on our homepage as our "CANINE CRITTER OF THE MONTH"

This is a continuation of the original Top 20 Dog Pix group, which for some reason was set to private, and cannot be undone.

GROUP FAQ, RULES & GUIDELINES:

Reminder: if you post a photo you need to remove a photo from the pool. The only EXCEPTION to this rule is if there are less than 20 pictures currently in the pool,
(in which case, you shouldn't delete any).
1- Add this tag to all posted photos: " top20DOGS "
2- No more than 20 photos in the pool at any given time. If you upload one, you must delete one. You can remove any photo from the pool (not neccessarily the 1st one shown).
EXCEPTION: if there are less than 20 pictures currently in the pool, do not remove any.
3- Anyone can post, but ONLY 1 PHOTO PER USER in the pool at any given time. Once deleted, please do not repost the same photo again (you can however, post it to the Honourable Mention Galleria)
4- Only ADMINS and MODERATORS can delete. If you have just joined, and would like to be promoted to MODERATOR, you can leave a message here, or wait until someone promotes you (you will not be able to delete until done so).
NOTE: It is the responsibility of current ADMINS to check each new member's photostream and/or profile for dog related photos, before promotion.
5- Canine PHOTO OF THE MONTH (featured on the homepage): Any photo from the current pool or archives may be nominated as our featured CANINE PHOTO OF THE MONTH (featured photo on the homepage). Please see this LINK for details.
6- As a courtesy to others: before you delete a photo and add your own, please leave behind a comment on the pic (or pics) in the group pool (after all, it's nice to get feedback!)
7- Make use of the group discussion threads! Reply, or start new threads; and check regularly for replies!
8- And lastly: Please don't start threads like "There's only 19 photos in the pool!" or "Who is deleting photos?" etc.
Don't worry if the pool fluctuates from time to time. Just stay calm, don't panic, and don't post panic discussion threads like "What happened to all the photos? " etc. Just repost old photos or add new but DO NOT go on and on about "Why is this happening? etc, etc..." Mistakes like these happen from time to time and are what is referred to as "hiccups" (it periodically happens to some of the other top20 groups as well).
Stay calm, repost until the pool is back up to 20, and don't worry about it too much. The problem usually corrects itself within a day or two.
