About Tiger Balm Gardens

Two of my favorite places to visit are Aw Boon Haw Garden in Hong Kong and Haw Par Villa in Singapore, both more commonly know as Tiger Balm Gardens. Sadly, much of the Hong Kong garden was torn down in the late 1990s to build condominiums, and many of the scenes in Singapore have gone by the wayside due to age and neglect. Luckily, people take pictures and preserve what cannot be saved. My photos of the Hong Kong garden are color slides and black and white film, and my earliest shots of the Singapore garden are color slides, but everything after 2001 is digital. I plan on posting everything I have shot, along with ephemera and various items I have collected over the years, and welcome any other photos out there of these two unbelievable places.

A cautionary note: There are a few nude statues, but more important to point out is some extreme violence which may be upsetting to some people.
