20 Mar 11 - The main purpose of this group is to establish a portfolio of good photographs of flora and fauna taken on the moors. We intend this to function as a reference for the species to be found here and to aid in their identification. We seek correctly identified photographs - please read the Discussion topic "Tags" before adding images. If you cannot identify the subject of your photograph please sign up to Ispot - www.ispot.org.uk/ - for help

About Thorne and Hatfield Moors Conservation Forum

Formed in 1989, the Thorne and Hatfield Moors Conservation Forum acts as an umbrella for a wide range of like-minded organisations. Its membership is drawn from voluntary organisations such as the Wildlife Trusts and natural history societies, and it has observers from statutory agencies and local authorities. As its name suggests, it provides a place for debate, and the gathering and disseminating of information. In recent years, it has been forced to take on a campaigning role however, this aspect of its work has always been underpinned by sound safe science, and research, survey and monitoring remain key activities.

To view specific subsets of photos in the group pool please select one of the headings in the list below.
