PLEASE READ THIS FIRST

This is mostly a depository for lost gloves of any kind.


this group is for the digital memories of gloves that have/had character traits. not just any glove, but a glove that has transcended its functional role of protecting the hand from danger, lending its material strength, etc. a glove on its own.

this is, so to speak, the glove in respose, at rest, abandoned from its contract with humanity to aid and abet. this glove, the glove we're looking for, relaxes into its own being, the structure of its own form without the hand [though this is by no means to say that a handed glove is not welcome or won't find a palace for every finger].

the posts in this group should be about a glove being a glove.

the title of this group is a send up to magritte's quirky "this is not a pipe". with only the personality of the glove as a boundary, unleash your art and ingenuity when posting.

warning: obscenities, unpleasantries, degradations, abominations, and all sorts of other "intuitively" obvious submissions are not welcome. there is a place for all of that in the world, but it is not the purpose or playland for this group. this group is about gloves that will, hopefully, make our appreciation of gloves all the more exuberant and radiant.

lastly, PLEASE tag any and all of your submissions with a human emotion. this way, as the pool grows, one can view the collection from an emotive viewpoint.
