About This is Iowa
Would love to create an archive similar to The Commons archive (here on Flickr) with photos from Iowa's past and photos that show what Iowa life is like now.
Ideally new photos put a face on our State and show people in their daily lives, show special moments in Iowans' lives, show those important moments (a graduation hug, a graveside ceremony), photos of how our towns look, what the scene is outside the local shops and the WalMarts. Vintage photos should follow the same vein, but can include photos of gravestones, city streets, etc. Think about a National Geographic story about Iowa and which photos they'd include to tell our story.
