About Things That Delight Me

When something DELIGHTS you it lifts your heart; it can raise a smile and raise your spirits even when you're feeling down; when you picture that thing in your mind it makes you feel all warm and cheerful inside (perhaps it even makes you chuckle to yourself). When something DELIGHTS you it lights you up inside... you love that little thing... it might be such an insignificant little thing that no-one else can see the point of it; but to you it's a special delight.

Here are just a few examples... the first flower of Spring, a really beautiful wild bird song, watching the geese fly in formation as they migrate, a dog's nose, the first cup of coffee in the morning, warm socks on your cold feet, rainbows, a yellow balloon, the smell of carnations, the fuzzy skin of a peach, the sound of splitting a watermelon, the colour of seaside candyfloss... we all know that the people we love delight us, however PLEASE don't submit pics of people/children/babies into this group - JUST THINGS please (and animals/nature too). Thank you.

As the song goes... "I simply remember my favourite things, and then I don't feel so bad. Raindrops on roses, and whiskers on kittens, bright copper kettles, and warm woollen mittens, snow geese that fly with the moon on their wings, these are a few of my favourite things."

Please share with us your "favourite things"... images of all those things that bring you DELIGHT!

2. JUST things/animals/nature.
3. Images MUST be of something that personally DELIGHTS you.
4. No more than 2 consecutive images of the SAME thing please.
5. Nothing sexual.
6. Public Domain images are acceptable, but please state the source in the pic description.
7. Feel free to explain in the pic description why the thing in the image delights you.
