What is it about our need to break the hold matter has on us? We Earth bound humans have pressed insatiably to break the bonds of gravity since before "science" was a word. Civilizations, modern and ancient, have employed all manner of method to loft a myriad of objects and themselves as high as their devices would take them. Some of us capture the feats on film or pixels. Whether it’s a flying toy, an airplane or an animal, if it's in the air it qualifies. Kids kites, Frisbees, baseballs and model airplanes, real live helicopters, fighter jets and jumping dirt bike daredevils -- put'em up!
