About The World at Home
The World at Home is a collaborative project between UCL Institute of Archaeology Masters students and London’s Geffrye Museum to develop their Stories of the World: London project, which is part of the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad programme.
We're developing a gallery display, family activities and online content as part of the project, but we're also running some online photo-participation events.
We want you to show us pictures of your own objects from your own homes and tell us their stories!
Anyone and everyone can contribute! Just visit our blog for details of what we're looking for and then upload your digital images (photos or drawings) to flickr. Join this group to be able to add your picture here and we can create our own online gallery! You can also simply tell us about your objects in the blog comments.
Our favourites will be posted on the project blog.
Bear in mind this is not the place to share your photos of the Geffrye Museum! We'd love to see them, but please upload them to this group.
For more details about our photo-participation events, visit our blog.
To see our photos from the project, visit our Flickr account.
