About The Sweetest Thing Bake Off competition!

To celebrate publication of The Sweetest Thing by Cathy Woodman, we are running a 'Bake Off' competition to win £100 worth of Lakeland vouchers.

All you have to do is upload pictures of your baked goodies!
Cathy will judge which is the yummiest looking picture and they will win the vouchers.

So get baking my friends and show off your wonderful creations!

Competition Terms and Conditions

1. By entering this competition, you agree to accept and be bound by these terms and conditions. All entry instructions form part of the terms and conditions of this competition.
2. This competition is open to anyone aged 18 or over who is a resident of the UK or Republic of Ireland, except for employees of The Random House Group Limited (Promoter), its subsidiary companies and their families and any other company connected with the competition.
3. You acknowledge and agree that this competition is run by the Promoter and not by Flickr or any other platform through which this competition is hosted, administered or advertised and that Flickr and such other platforms will not be liable to you or any third party in relation to or in connection with this competition.
4. In order to enter the competition each entrant must upload to the “The Sweetest Thing Bake-Off” Flickr group one photograph of one or more items which the entrant has baked (Entry). The Sweetest Thing Bake Off competition is an open Flickr group which means that any visitor to the group can see the Entries uploaded to it. Entries may also be displayed in other spaces owned or used by the Promoter in accordance with clause 14.
5. Each entrant can submit up to a maximum of two Entries only. Each Entry can be an image of any size or resolution. A high resolution format of 300dpi at 2480 x 3508 pixels is preferred, but submission of Entries in other sizes or resolutions will not be at a disadvantage.
6. The opening date for the competition is 28th April 2011 (Opening Date).
7. The closing date for the competition is midnight GMT on 31st May 2011 (Closing Date). Entries received after the closing date will not be considered. Responsibility will not be accepted for lost, damaged or corrupted entries, whether due to system error or otherwise. Entrants are advised to retain a copy of their Entries.
8. The prize is Lakeland (www.lakeland.co.uk) vouchers worth a total of £100 (Prize). No cash alternative will be offered.
9. Events may occur which render the awarding of the prize impossible due to reasons beyond the control of the Promoter and the Promoter may, at its absolute discretion, vary, amend or suspend the prize with or without notice.
10. The winning Entry will be selected by Cathy Woodman (Author) from among the validly submitted Entries by 7 June 2011. The winner will be notified by 14 June 2011 using the Flickr mail system. In the event that, within a week of the Promoter sending such notification, a winner fails to respond as directed therein to claim the Prize, the Author may choose a new winning entry and the previous winner will then immediately forfeit the Prize. Responsibility will not be accepted for lost, damaged or corrupted responses, whether due to system error or otherwise.
11. The winner agrees to the Promoter’s use of their name, town of residence, photograph and Entry in relation to the Promoter’s publicity material.
12. Each entrant must have a Flickr (Yahoo! ID) account which provides details of that entrant’s full name and contact details (including address and email). Communications regarding this competition (including notification of winner) will be made using the Flickr mail system.
13. The Promoter will use the personal details of entrants provided for the purposes of this competition only for the purpose of this competition. These personal details will not be kept on file by the Promoter and will not be passed on to any third parties.
14. Each entrant warrants to the Promoter that their Entry is original to them, does not infringe copyright or any other intellectual property right and does not defame or invade the privacy rights of any third party, or infringe any other legal rights, regulations or laws.
15. By submitting their Entry, each entrant grants to each of the Author and the Promoter a perpetual worldwide non-exclusive, royalty free license (with the right to sublicense) to use, copy, reproduce, process, adapt, modify, publish, transmit, display and distribute their Entry in part or in full in any medium or format.
16. The winner’s name will be available from the date on which the Prize is validly claimed upon the promoter’s receipt of a stamped addressed envelope and will be available on [INSERT FLICKR GROUP URL].
17. The Promoter’s and the Author’s decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into in relation to this competition.
18. These terms and conditions are subject to English law and the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
