About Shaker Heights band
The Shaker Heights are a 4-piece band from Aylesbury, England who specialise in performing their own style of eclectic, catchy rock music.
Originally formed in 2003, The Shaker Heights' music centres around the diverse, melodic song-writing talent of front-man Vincent Coole (Vocals/Guitar), with musical reference points including Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, The Clash, Elvis Costello, The Smiths and Arcade Fire.
Bassist Andy Brown, sister Emily Coole (Keyboards) and drummer Edd Featherstone complete the line up dating from Sept 2005.
The Shaker Heights recorded their 6-track debut EP, 'Who Will Be The Rider?' in January & February 2006. One early reviewer describes the EP as:
'Six great songs that don't remind me of anyone except The Shaker Heights, great dynamics, great attack, great listening!! This is now 'the gear' - 'Who Will Be the Rider?' rocks, surprises and pleases from start to finish. The mix is spot on. The vibe is exquisite...Altogether an exceptional piece of work.'
