An official offshoot of The Retro Kid, this group features illustration and art aimed at teenagers from the mid-40's up to 1970-ish. This includes books, textbooks, magazines, ads, commercials, records, albums, packaging, and any other products that featured teenagers or were aimed at the teenage market. I'm willing to accept records and ads with photography, as long as it is definitely geared for teenagers, and that there is some element of intriguing design in the submission.
For the record, teenage years are ages 13 through 19. There may be some crossover from The Retro Kid, but that's okay. I don't mind. I don't want to be too much of a stickler for these sorts of things.
It was an interesting time for teenagers, as companies and advertising agencies were just starting to tap into this soon-to-be lucrative market. It was indeed a fascinating time and the art for this generation was no exception.
