About The Restaurant - space for the fans.

Based in Newcastle upon Tyne, The Restaurant have certainly made their mark all around the UK. For a while they lived in London making their name in the big smoke, but being true to their roots they headed home to the North East. The Restaurant's music is almost hypnotic and has the ability to captivate an audience, they have inspiring melodies and harmonies that wind their way though each song. Every song is carefully crafted spanning a range of musical styles and influences. As far as recognition goes the band have been making waves across the UK, they were voted best unsigned act in a poll of London's XFM listeners and won best North-East band in the BT Battle of the Bands, earning a prestigious slot playing at the top of the BT Tower in London. The Restaurant have also gained a well deserved reputation as an outstanding live act and could be seen supporting Turin Brakes, Nizlopi, Duke Special and Sandi Thom on their UK tours. The Restaurant hope for big things in the year ahead and look forward to all of their forthcoming gigs.
