About the nullarbor wilderness protection area

celebrating the creation of the nullarbor wilderness protection area, the place for your photographs of what will become the WPA (that's the nullarbor national park and a large chunk of the nullarbor regional reserve to the north - i've included a map as the first image in the set for those who aren't sure!)

the WPA will preserve as wilderness 900 000 hectares of the 250 000km2 nullarbor plain - the world's largest karst (limestone) landscape - and adjacent coastal cliffs and dune-fields

a great move on the part of the state government, and a tremendous community lobbying effort, particularly on behalf of The Wilderness Society

NOTE: technically, the whale-watching platform at the head of the bight is NOT in the new WPA
