About THE MONGOL RALLY 2009

aka "THE ROAD TO ULAANBAATAR".
This group is dedicated to all those brave and crazy people who have taken part in ... or supported ... or sponsored ... the numerous Teams that have participated in this year's "Mongol Rally 2009".
This is a venue to host photographs of the Rally ... from start to finish (wherever that might have been !).
Starting on Saturday 18th July 2009 from Goodwood Motor Racing Circuit in West Sussex (UK) this was a tough endurance rally event requiring Teams to make it all the way (about 10,000 miles) to Ulaanbaatar (the capital city of Mongolia) ... usually in small second-hand cars.
The harder it is ... the more hazards that are faced and overcome ... then the more successful the rally is considered to be. Making it all the way from the UK to Ulaanbaatar / Mongolia is a huge achievement.
