About The Least of These

Billions of people live in poverty, millions face chronic sickness and disease, thousands of children die daily from really simple things... and because these problems seem so vast, we are in danger of just running from the waves of sorrow that might crash over us for considering their problems at all, much less trying to help.

The theme of this group is showing people helping others win their struggles, especially in the midst of their own difficulties. Neither technical prowess or aesthetic achievement of an image are required for its inclusion, as long as the image and accompanying text can tell a good story.

While this group is in no way limited to showing incidents or individuals related to any religious organization or function, the group's name references the sentiment expressed in Matthew 25:40 (KJV). To that end, it is assumed that the majority of images included will be illustrative of compassion or sacrifice, for poverty-related issues.
