This group is a companion for The Independent, East Northumberland's News Source. The Independent is a weekly newspaper serving the communities in and around Colborne, Brighton, and Trenton in the south and Campbellford, Hastings and Warkworth in the north.

East Northumberland County is situated about 90 miles east of Toronto and is bordered by Lake Ontario and the Trent Severn Waterway.

Discussions of all sorts are welcome, however the administrators will delete any messages or photos which use gratuitous profanity or promote hatred or intollerance of any kind.

Please note, you don't have to live in East Northumberland to join this group.
