This group may not be for the faint of heart
The Short Version:
This is game based on the old concept of DeleteMe , focused on true honest uncensored critique and photography

with a "street" theme. the tags are "Keep" and "Ditch", you only need to number the tags. If you're too lazy get the Bookmarklets for The Gutter™.

The Gutter™ is a voting and critiquing group focused on the multiple variations of the theme "street": aesthetics, documentary or photojournalistic reportage, and street portraiture.

"Street" is candid photography taken in a public or semi-public place, usually with a human element. Posed images are acceptable for street portraiture, if accompanied by a back story.

Critique is mandatory, simple "sucks" kind of votes will lead to a short life in the group. Humour is welcomed, but constructive comments are best.

When a photo has ten keeps, it goes to The Shelter™. The default vote is ditch. Only outstanding shots should end up in The Shelter™.

Only one shot in the pool at a time. Self ditching is ok, but self keeping is not.

Now go post your best shots.


The Long-winded Version:
Show us your great street shots or those where you think that something needs improvement but you're not quite sure what. The group will critique your shot, voting for it to be kept or ditched. Ten ‘ditch’ votes and your image is dropped from the pool. Ten ‘keep’ votes and your image can leave The Gutter™ and have an eternal life of glory and fame in The Shelter™.

The default vote is ditch. Only outstanding images should end up in The Shelter™. Try to be constructive in your commentary so that we may all end up sending more to The Shelter™ in future.

Rules to Remember:
- Before you post, vote on EVERY photo in the pool.
- Only one photograph per person in the pool at a time.
- Removing a photo during voting means you need to wait 24 hours to submit the next one.
- No posting on two voting groups at the same time - it soon becomes a mess.
- A vote without critique can be challenged by the photo owner. Post a link to the photo and offending vote in The Hanging Chad for resolution by an admin or mod.
- You can't block other The Gutter™ members from commenting on your photostream during a vote.

Voting:
Add a meaningful critique comment. Humour, sarcasm and wit are welcome. The last line should read "keep" if you like the shot or "ditch" if you don't.
Add a tag with ditch[xx] or keep[xx] with your vote number. If per example a photo was already tagged ditch and ditch2 you should add ditch3.

Examples:
"This piece of curdled crap is badly cropped, poorly lit, and utterly devoid of redeeming qualities. Ditch"
