An exhibition of Photographs from Global Fund Grant-Implementing Countries


Photos from this exhibition showcase positive change around the world brought about through Global Fund financing. Taken by grant implementers and photographers in Global Fund grant-implementing countries, these photographs provide a unique opportunity to view Global Fund successes through the eyes of those served.

About The Global Fund Photo Competition

The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria wants you to lend your vision in celebration of World AIDS Day 2010. Send in photographs which capture positive change in your community brought about through Global Fund support, and they could be included in our online photography exhibition launching 1 December 2010.

The photographer awarded “Best in Show” will also be interviewed and profiled for our Saving Lives web publication. The selection panel comprises top experts in the field of photography and communications.

Photographs may be submitted in one of the following categories:


"Person"
A person who is directly and positively affected by or involved with Global Fund support in your region.

"Place"
A place which is supported by Global Fund financing or which was built through a Global Fund grant.

"Thing"
A tool for treatment or prevention of HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis or malaria, which was paid for with Global Fund support.

How to submit your photographs:

1) Photographs must fall into one of the above categories (person, place or thing).

2) You may submit as many photographs as you want, provided each fits into one (and only one) of the above categories.

3) Each photograph should be accompanied by a "title" which describes what element in the photo would not be possible without Global Fund support, and a “description” of the context for this photo.

4) Please also include the photographer’s full name and age; and the city in which each photograph was taken.

5) Submit your entry by email to info@theglobalfund.org or through this Flickr group.

Submission Deadline: 10 November 2010

Competition Terms
The photographer must be a citizen or permanent resident of a Global Fund grant implementing country. See a full list of countries at portfolio.theglobalfund.org. The Global Fund reserves the right to reproduce any materials submitted in its print and online communication materials for communications relating to the competition. Photographs submitted must be released under the creative commons license. Release rights must be obtained from any subjects who appear in the photographs.
