The goal of this group is to create a group that feels like a community, and provides real feedback & energy to photographers. We aim to have a pool of high quality photos, invited by You the lovers of great photography.

To that end, two of the basic tenets of the group are based on enforcing quality and community. Admins and moderators (when there is a consensus) reserve the right to remove photos that do not meet quality standards. We will rarely second-guess others' tastes, but will remove those that are clearly poor photography or bad taste.

THOSE WHO POST AND DO NOT COMMENT ON OTHERS' WORK WILL BE BANNED.

We invite each of you to participate not just in inviting great images, but in providing real positive feedback, in participating in contests, or as a contact point for Flickr Meet-up events.

This group is not about badges. It is about great photography, and getting and receiving energy from other photographers. If you do not wish to give others your time and energy, this is NOT the place for you. But, if you're kind of tired of being in 300 groups just to get feedback, we sincerely hope this will become your new favorite group.

When your photo has 7 comments/invites from the group, your photo is eligible for our Hall of Fame Group - The Exhibit Upstairs!!!! (See the Hall of Fame thread for details.)

RULES are very simple:

For ALL lovers of Exhibition Quality Photography:

1. Find high-quality photos you like, and invite them to be in the pool. Please be discriminating in your selections. In other words, only pick photos you'd actually want to invite into a gallery you owned or make positive comments on yourself.
2. Stop in, comment on the works in the pool; join in on contest and special activities in the threads.

If your photo has been invited:

1. Once you've posted your photo into the pool, please be nice and search for any 3 Photos or more from the pool for each photo posted, and give The Exhibit logo (see code below)- remember to be nice to others as others will do the same with you...
2. You MUST comment on at least 3 photos in the group including at least 1 on page 1 of the group pool. If Admins/moderators do not find a comment from you on Page 1, YOU WILL BE BANNED. NO EXCEPTIONS.
3. No full-frontal nudity and NO porn. Violators will be removed from the group!
4. Only post photos that were taken by you.
5. Don't put the The Exhibit logo on your own photo
6. REPOSTING IS NOT ALLOWED ANYONE DOING SO WILL BE BANNED FROM THE GROUP!
7. Do not block the Admins or Moderators of this group, anyone who does this will be banned! It prevents us from running the sweepers needed to administer the pool.
8. We are not "just another group" and do not accept photos invited into this and 3 or more other groups at once by the same person. The "please submit this photo to (4+) groups" shots will be deleted, and the inviter removed.
9. The Admins are not your mother. We will not nag you into following the rules. We will simply act in the group's best interest.

The tag "TheExhibit" is automatically added by the Invite Sweeper software. It is used mainly to create slideshows or mosaics displaying photos in the group. Feel free to delete the tag if you wish.

If your photo was removed:
1. It reached page 5 with no comments, or;
2. Two or more Admins/Moderators agree it failed to fit the standards of the group, or;
3. You didn't comment on others' photos.
Please do not repost without contacting the group administrators. We tend not to remove comments members compliment unless you didn't comply with group rules.

To Add an Invited Photo to The Exhibit:
1. First Join the Group by clicking on Join this Group
2. Go to the photo that was invited and click on it. Along the top edge is a tool bar, the second one in is "Send to Group" click on it and a list of the groups you belong to drops down. Choose the group to which you want to add the photo.
