So, I am really doing bad on this whole diet thing. I have a major weakness for candy of any sort. I didn't work out today, I didn't have the time and when I got home at 6, i proceeded to get in bed and sleep for two hours. Not a great plan. I got up and ate candy. UGH!!!! I can't stop myself. Major depression has set in, it does everytime Shawn is on the road. The working out helps, it produces whatever it is I need to make me feel better. Oh well, I have too many weaknesses to list. Not looking forward to the weigh in. I am so gonna do bad. Maybe even gain. DOUBLE UGH!!!

Then why have candy in the house? Throw it away, give it away, just get rid of it.

I have no self control, that is the problem. I buy it even when I shouldn't have it in the house. I will try to work on that.

I'm sort of in the same boat. If it's around, I'll probably eat it. The key is being able to resist while you're at the store. When you pick something up in the store, just stop and think for a second about the full effect of the thing you're about to buy.

Get rid of it!! It's better for you and the kids, they don't need it! My kids are 4 and 2, and they just want to do what mommy does. They drink water when I do and eat what I eat. it's a beautiful thing and I am teaching them, so to speak. That's definetly a good thing!

The only real weakness I would have is alcohol, but I can even avoid that when I'm on a diet. But if I'm under my calorie limit for the day I have no problem with having a beer / glass of wine or two.

My weakness is eating out at restaurants. I love to do it but can't afford to do it all the time. Oh yeah, that and snack foods like crackers — not chips, I can control my urges for those.

I am going to try to stay away from the foods that I am the weakest around. I would have to say chocolate is the biggest. I have resolved to not have the food that are the most tempting to me in the house. I will try my best to stick to that.

My weakness is my husband's career - he's a gormet chef. He loves food, I love food, he loves me to eat his food and to eat out and try OTHER retaurant's food...and I'm happy to oblige.
Mr. Ruby is one of those who eat everything and don't gain anything, and it's so frustrating! I want to hang out with him and eat whatever he does and be as casual as he is about food, but the consequences are disaster...

My weakness is positioning myself for failure. By that I mean, being hungry when I go to someone's house that has cake. Or, going to McDonald's when I haven't eaten for the day, etc.
So, as others have already said. Don't shop hungry, and don't position yourself for failure.

My weakness is chocolate... especially when I have my period (sorry boys!). It's now been 2 weeks since I had any chocolate and I even made it through TWO movies this weekend without my maltesers! haha now that's an accomplishment.
I used to buy maltesers with every grocery order, now I just don't buy them. If they aren't here when I have the craving I won't be able to eat them. It's hard but it's worth it.
Believe me, I know all about the lack of self discipline thing. It's a day by day learning experience.
So you had a bad day, you cheated and didn't do things the way you'd like. Don't beat yourself up about it... if it was meant to be easy we wouldn't need this support group we've built ourselves, right? :)
Just try to shake it off and use it as motivation to do better. We're all gonna screw up sometimes, it's how you deal with it and not letting it defeat you that matters! *Hug*
Btw, I will be expecting you guys to point me back to this post when I am complaining and finding it difficult, or if I fuck up :P

Like Freshyill said: "The key is being able to resist". But of course we cannot be sooo ingenuous, can be? Who know you better than you?
As someone "told me": it's a promise that you do to yourself. If you broke it, the only person damage is you, not the others. And, there're always choices.
Tip: if you're hungry, drink water-water-water! And yes, bathroom is your friend! heheheh
