About The Cavy Den! (Guinea Pig Adoption Supporters Unite)

This group was created by the founder of The Australian Cavy Sanctuary and was inspired by all the treasured photos and stories of those who opt to adopt! ACS The orgnisation is a non profit and non funded Community Purpose Organisation here in Australia. ACS has several residential shelters across several states of Australia which cater for homeless guinea pigs only. Our shelters are managed by only one shelter manager each and are supported by volunteers and friends who are truly passionate about the welfare and awareness of guinea pigs! The Cavy Den is a special place where people of all ages who are passionate about guinea pigs can share photos and stories of adopted guinea pigs past or present! If your guinea pigs were not adopted from ACS but another shelter or similar please feel free to share your piggy family aswell! All those who support the option of opting to adopt well this group is right up your alley!

(Please Note - In respect of ACS the organisation this group is managed by the same policy whereby members of the group do not support the constant breeding and selling of guinea pigs nor do we endorse in general the purchasing of guinea pigs from petshops due to the fact that many are easy dumping grounds for excess stock among other reasons. We ask all those that join to please respect this one guideline for joining this group ).
