The Big Picture is a website to make a Big Picture of the West Midlands. We've collected everyone’s pictures, snapshots of your fondest memories, your favourite places, those special occasions and everyday life too. Together we can build a Big Picture.
When we've counted every photo uploaded to the Big Picture website, and every one sent in by post to be scanned, there are enough to create a World Record photo mosaic.
That we've managed to collect over 106,000 photos of and by the people of the West Midlands is a huge achievement and will be a great huge artwork we can be proud of.
The pictures will be used to create a huge, record-breaking photo mosaic, the size of three tennis courts, to be unveiled at Birmingham’s Thinktank at Millennium Point on Saturday 23 August.
The mosaic will create the image of one of the thousands of photos sent in by the public, but the special picture will be kept a secret until then.
