While nearly every person has his or her own personal concept of what is sacred, there are many things in our world ubiquitously seen as such - though not necessarily to everyone - be it a nine-pointed star, a mosque, a lotus flower, a stupa, a crucifix, a pentagram, a cathedral, a star & crescent, a star of David, a synagogue, a circle A, etc.
That's what we're looking for here: photos of people, places, or things considered sacred by some. Please don't post photos of random things such as a brick wall or a beer and claim them to be sacred to you. If they are, great, but we're looking for images of things held sacred by groups of people. It's ok if they're a bit (or way) off the beaten trail, just commonly held.
Let's see as many different images of what people hold sacred as we can, and I'll bet everyone will find something that surprises them!
