About The Explore Machine
This group is dedicated to members who are committed to helping each other achieve Flickr's top honor- making it into Explore!
Is there a secret to it? Yes, there are a few. Who makes it? Hopefully YOU!
If you're sick of comment groups that take half your night to reply to, or post this and fave 529 images mandatory groups, then The Explore Machine is for you! Here we will explore Explore, and seek to become the best photographers and artists on flickr, and learn from each other what it takes to make the grade!
Caution, although this group is not a comment group, it has been targetted by the bot and could affect your efforts to get into Explore at this time. I strongly suggest that you refrain from posting pics to the group if you have hopes of them making Explore, as posting to this group might now hurt your chances! I do ask, however, that you please post your Explore pics to the group after they've reached their highest ratings, and you may post any pics you please with the knowledge that they might not make Explore once posted here. An image that is posted to this group might be dropped from Explore, as well, so that is the reason for the caution. I have tried very hard to be honest and helpful to the members of this group, and will continue to do so. Please continue to share your ideas and experiences in the threads. If Flickr ever stops targetting this group, I will be delighted to resume the original format of the group, which was intended to offer advice and assistance to people to make Explore. The Explore Machine is still a great resource for learning the ins and outs of Explore, and for making the contacts so necessary to have the results we want.
The focus of The Explore Machine is promoting OTHER peoples' work, and doing so willingly, which is what it takes to make it. If you're a "post & run" person who isn't willing to help other people achieve recognition, this is not the group for you. Comment groups and multiple posting in groups can keep you out of Explore. Contacts get you in. Make friends, enjoy their work, and they will enjoy yours! Some of the best photographers on Flickr are in this group. Please take advantage of that fact and make lots of great contacts and friends! It will certainly help your chances.
