Texas Cemeteries / Discuss

Somewhere in central Texas is a small cemetery with a grave which I photographed some years back (I can't put my hands on the print). I think the cemetery was the Johnson Ranch Cemetery, but anyways next to the grave was a stone with the words "killed by mob". I've always wondered what the history behind this was and if the guy was killed by "a mob" or "the mob".

Does anyone know anything about this grave?
