About Texas - The Lone Star State

Texas is an amazing place. I lived there for a few years and it had a huge impact on me. It seems like a different country (and I think many Texans have tried to make it so). It's a beautiful state with incredible diversity.

Texans are a proud bunch. And I'm happy to say they are also a very polite bunch. The phrase "Southern Hospitality" is not just a saying. I'm back in California now but living in Texas really gave me something to contrast it to. While Californian attitudes seemed pretty normal to me in the past now that I have Texas to contrast it to A lot of the Time Californians seem a bit rude. Don't get me wrong, I love California. However the attitude difference is pretty obvious after experiencing both.

Texans are great and they love their state. It's easy to spot a Texan but even if it weren't they'll usually let you know with something they are wearing. Texas hats are common as are Texas Belt buckles. But even without any outward signs a Texan is easy to spot.

So I thought I'd put this group together to display images of anything Texas related. Put up your pictures that display the beautiful state and all that it contains. Looking around flickr I can see there is no shortage of all things Texas.
