18 Oct 07 - Just a reminder to restrict your photos to temple monkeys only. A lovely photo of a monkey in a zoo was necessarily deleted, causing great discomfort.
And DO make a note of which temple the photograph was taken in. It makes it far more interesting.

About Temple Monkeys

This is literally a group for pictures of live monkeys who inhabit temples of worship.

If you find yourself needing a broader explanation, you probably don't have a photo of a temple monkey to contribute to the pool.

Monkeys are clever, extremely curious, and look a lot like us. This makes them both fascinating and annoying. Either way, if you find yourself witnessing monkey antics, and you have a camera in your hand, it's hard to resist photographing them.
The monkeys who inhabit the temples of the world are accustomed to human presence, and human interaction. Some of that interaction still involves teenage boys throwing rocks. So don't get too close - these monkeys have big teeth and will use them.
Temples are beautiful. Add a monkey, and throw it in the pool.

Photos of monkeys outside of temples, for instance in trees or on the street playing an organ, will be deleted. As will photos without any monkeys.
