For places how about:
Yarm High Street & riverside
Billingham Town Centre
Hartlepool town centre & marina
Stewart's Park or Albert Park, Middlesbrough
Redcar High Street & esplanade
Any other suggestions for places?
I was thinking towards end of Sept/start of October. I've set up a poll for dates here - take yer pick.

@PG. The poll only lets you vote for one date; do you want to check availability rather than select a single date?

I'd be up for this, though I'm struggling to get anything decent out of the Olympus at the moment. However, given my attendance record at any meets I'd put me down as "hopeful"

I can't believe I actually SNAPPED the film in that Zenit camera I got. Still, I guess it's the first time I've used it and I am getting 4 free films off freecycle. I'm such a tight arse!

Cath - maybe everyone is like me and has no preference for a date this far in advance? The favourite day should get it whether we reach quorum or not.
D.R. - you SNAPPED a film??? I'm scared to ask for an explanation because I don't think I'll like what I hear :). And this from a person who's had a photo in Tate Britain!

Last two sundays in September are looking good for me but which one should I vote for ?
How about the derelict Metnor Building on the A66, quite quiet on a Sunday. Billy Centre would be interesting also !!

We now need to finalise the date for this to avoid a clash with the usual PRoT meets.
The poll shows Sat 6th Oct as the winner.....
Who's up for this at a venue to be decided?

I think it's highly likely that I will probably be available. Maybe.
I would certainly *like* to attend ....

I'll be there.
We just need a location now. So far we have:
Yarm High Street & riverside
Billingham Town Centre
Hartlepool town centre & marina
Stewart's Park or Albert Park, Middlesbrough
Redcar High Street & esplanade
Derelict Metnor Building on the A66
Any others?

Let's do Hartlepool. I've almost never been there before much.

But Hartlepool won't be the same without the freezing rain we had when we were last there...in January (whose idea was that PG????)

Had 'nother thought - am presuming the filom cameras would react better to condensation than the digi ones, so what about doing Butterfly World and environs - sometime maybe perhaps possibly later or something?

@louisianablue2001 - it was to do with not reading the unloading instructions properly and my propensity to use brute force and ignorance when faced with a problem ;o). I quite fancy popping down for this but am still waiting to get my work rota so will have a look then. DEFINITELY won't be at butterfly world - I hates butterflys!

Not too sure how any lens (regardless of whether on a digital or film camera) would fare in the humid atmosphere of Butterfly World! The rest of Preston Park might be a suitable spot though. Those who wanted to risk the condensation in Butterfly World could have a crack at the same time.
I don't mind butterflies, but those huge beasties the size of birds are disturbing when they land on you. On a more positive note, Butterfly World has meercats. You don't find many of those in Redcar High Street (except on market days).

Another vote for caution.... I'm not risking my gear in a very humid atmosphere.

As 6th Oct is only a couple of weeks away, I've set up a poll so we can all vote where we want to take our lovely cellulose acetate for a day out. Poll closes next Saturday, so get voting!

Sorry everyone, been massive busy with work, uni and things and almost dropped the ball on this.
The winner is ... Hartlepool town centre and marina
Meet-up time and place? Can I suggest Lloyd's Bar (on Church Square, opposite the art gallery - it's a fairly big place and midway between marina and town centre) at 2:30pm? Other suggestions gratefully received :-)

I'll be there but we're car buying in the morning (don't think a baby and accoutrements will fit in my micra) so might not make it for noon (Glen I'm remembering you need a camera), probably closer to 1-2pm. I'll call you PG to find out where you all are when I make it to Hartlepool. Oh, guess I should use this as a reminder to let people know we have a PRoT mobile that is switched on during meets - telephone number is 07514 112 376. See you all there!
