TEDxVancouver was licensed out of the pure passion and will to share and surface the TED culture directly within Vancouver. We have an extremely strong and passionate team dedicated to reaching our objectives:
Objectives:
1. To build the premier TEDx platform in North America
2. To project the unique, influential and innovative voices of Vancouver onto the global stage
3. To encourage tangible interaction within a community of diverse talents and affect extraordinary change
About TEDx, x=independently organized event
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx where local, self-organized events can bring people together to share a TED-like experience.
At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x=independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.
