23 Apr 11 - It's difficult to teach students about archaeology without having access to good quality images of people 'doing' archaeology in all of its guises: fieldwork, lab work, community engagement, computer work, library research, etc. I've created this group to try and create a resource for those of us who teach archaeology. However in order for this to work we need contributions from those who are doing archaeology - globally, regardless of your role!

About Teaching archaeology

This is intended as a repository for images useful or relevant to teaching students about archaeology globally. It can be difficult to find images for teaching archaeology because very few are licensed in such a way that allows open use (with attribution).

In the interests of encouraging wider use please only add images here that have some form of creative commons license (see creativecommons.org/licenses/) so that others may openly use your images (with attribution) for teaching purposes.

Please try to include captions, meaningful image names, locations and if possible the names of individuals in your images.
