Anyone been to one of these shows? Is there usually worthwhile gear?

I'll be there.
edit: I've picked up some classic Minolta gear from there, as well as my Rolleicord. Definitely worthwhile, but stay away if you're an impulse buyer in poor financial shape!

Thanks Sam. I'm not sure I'm going to end up going now. I'm afraid I'd end up spending way too much money.

I didn't spend very much time there today as there was a minimal selection of Minolta AF / Sony gear. I was actually after pre-1990's beercan-era Minolta AF stuff.
There was a 28-135mm f/4-4.5 with Maxxum 7000 combo going for $300... and a beercan-era 35-105 f/3.5-4.5. And a few film bodies. That was about it.

I've been to a few of these. My big gripe is that some of the sellers believe the gear is worth much more than it is. I find you have to be prepared to haggle. Mind you I'm usually looking at older Nikon stuff so YMMV.

@tracer.ca
Very true - I think some sellers are hoping to make their profits all in one sale. At yesterday's show there seemed to be a strong Nikon collector vibe. People were picking over anything in a factory box like they were panning for gold and there were some stupid prices on stuff just because it had a Nikon box.
One guy there yesterday wanted $250 for a Mamiya C series (645) 35mm lens with a frozen focus ring. Looked like it had been dropped down a long set of concrete stairs.
There a few dealers there I don't even bother looking at. Always overpriced.
If you look around you can find deals. Best deals at the very start and end of the day.
The next one is May 25th in Woodbridge 7601 Martin Grove Rd.). It will be bigger and I've got the best deals at the larger show.
