I'm in. And if the weather is nice, I'd love to bring the baby with.

No kidding, right? We're all pretty busy folks.
I'll be out of town for a chunk next week, the weekend of the 9th/10th is pretty booked already, I've got a couple of things going on the 16th so I propose:
Sunday, October 17th
Though that would mean no FallCon Flickr walk, as that's only on the 16th:

Woot.
I'm totally down for this. Was just talking to a few people recently about how much I missed photowalking.

Will try, it's Derby on saturday. Sunday, if it's sunny, might try to squeeze it in. Would be nice to meet more of you people.

I can do the 17th.
I was just thinking about getting one of these organized. I'm voting against the Mill City Market, only because it gets so crowded this year. Though we could start out there and hang out by the river.
Apple Orchard is a win
Other option is something by the river, maybe Fort Snelling for some fall colors.

Oooooh, let's say Fort Snelling (or an Apple Orchard) on Sunday the 17th!

Can do that one. What time is everyone thinking?

I did not know there was a comic book convention. I might try and swing by that even if the walk is not there. But I'm good for whatever.

Yep, the Comic Book Convention happens in the Spring and Fall every year.
I'm thinking early afternoon for this. So Fort Snelling vs. Apple Orchard?

I think an apple orchard would cool and different. But I like the Fort Snelling idea too - haven't been there before. I can give a few people a ride out to an orchard too, coming from NE Mpls.

Justin and I would be interested in joining! I like the Fort Snelling idea - it's always fun to capture the fall colors.

Both sound great to me - I haven't been to Fort Snelling in YEARS. But it looks like they may only be open on Saturdays in September & October and admission is . Youch.

Also Fort Snelling state park is closed due to flooding at the moment. Not sure what it'll be like in 2 weeks.

An excellent point! Let's do an orchard then. Preferably one that is not under water.

I'd lobby for an orchard. I'm too broke to bring my kids to Fort Snelling. There are a few out in my direction (east metro, Hwy 36).

I'm going to say either Pine Tree Apple Orchard:
www.pinetreeappleorchard.com/
Or, on the other side of the cities, Minnetonka Orchards:

The latter will be pressing fresh cider this Sunday.

Awesome. I'm good with this plan but it figures - I just remembered that I'd wanted to get to the MN Landscape Arboretum's Apple House at some point this Fall:

TODAY.
Note: I've heard that the main road to get into the orchard from the West is under construction and that it may be easier/faster to come at it from the East.

No worries, it didn't really work out for us anyhow. I've come down with a cold and my kid was inexplicably crabby. We still drove all the way out there but left before finding anyone.
My son did take a few photos though:
