About Taubaté in Foco

For all the inhabitants or those that simply like Taubaté. Taubaté is a Brazilian city of the state of São Paulo, located in the Valley of the Paraíba, the 123 km of the capital of the state, São Paulo, the 280 km of the city of Rio De Janeiro, and 98km of Ubatuba. Situated in an intermediate point the Mountain range of the Sea enters and the Mountain range of the Mantiqueira, has pleasant climate.

It is as the bigger industrial and commercial polar region of the region, and the native land of the writer Lobato Hunter.

The name of the city originates from the language tupi, and means village (taba) high (ybaté).
