28 Nov 11 - Just a reminder, real police phone boxes are OK but a bit obvious but no actually Doctor Who Tardis or models of Tardis, I am afraid I will not accept them into the group, generally pleased with the variations of Tardis like structures and doorways within the group keep the search going, thank you.

About Doorways or Structures that could be a Tardis

As we know The Doctor's Tardis is a Police Telephone Box, but imagine if there where other Tardis scattered through the Universe long forgotten after the demise of the Time Lords.

The aim of this group then is to photograph doorways that may lead to a Tardis.

Any images submitted should meet the following criteria to be included:

1. Goes without saying should be well photographed and of good image quality, HDR processed images are fine if done well also b/w or sepia.

2. The doorways or boxes should perhaps have a worn or weathered patina which suggests it has traveled through Time and Space, although a modern doorway or box may be excepted if it has an air of mystery, really there should be a feeling that there could be a Tardis behind the door.

3. Doorway or structure should be where possible shot square on although good strong angled shots are exceptable, the doorway or box though should be composed to fill most of the image area.

4, No shots of The Doctor's Tardis or models of, but shots of original Police Phone boxes maybe excepted if well photographed.

5.Also excepted shots that look like they maybe taken looking into a Tardis such as this
The Liverpool Tardis

6.People in shots OK if incidental or of a passerby nature in relation to the doorway or box, helpful if they have a Time Lord-ish or alien look about them, such as.......
Could This Be A Tardis

7. Think like a Time Lord......how would I best hide my Tardis ...have fun

I think this shot submitted by Sandra Whiteway captures exactly the idea of a long deserted Tardis
Tardis - Not! Outhouse Yes!!!

This archive shot from Caroline and Phil Bunford is a perfect example of an abandoned Tardis interior, not sure if a female assistant would want travel in it though :-)
