About Tararua Range New Zealand

Special images of the places, the people, the plants, the inhabitants and the weather of the Tararua mountain range, New Zealand. A celebration of a very special place; a sharing of a our visits and views.

Love them or hate them - not many visitors leave the Tararuas unafflicted. Known nationally as the home of tramping, this relatively compact range has some of the best, some of the most salubrious and some of the most challenging tramping country in NZ.

Note there is no limit to the number of images members can post - I expect that sets will often relate to visits or tramping trips within the forest park and it is better I feel that these can been seen together. But please be a little selective, if posting a set consider the importance or interest of each image as a part of the whole. Photos can be special for many reasons and here's a chance to share them - but please avoid "27 angles on the third mud hole below Field hut" type sequences. :-)
