No Album found
|
Hi,
I have installed the wordpress plugin and now I cannot see any albums, but I can see photos if I go through the tag clouds. I have searched this forum and tried what was suggested (check the API is for DESKTOP) but still have no luck.
Here are the details:
- Installed the latest plugin version
- Set my permalink to numbers
- Set the photos to appear on my blog locally (www.myblog.com/photos/)
- When I go to that URL all I see is a list of POPULAR TAGS
- If I click on one of those tags it takes a very long time to load, then I can see my photos for that tag.
- I have enabled lightbox
- In the plugin settings I can see all of my 100s of albums
- If I try to publish a new post, I will see all my photos under the photo section, but when I go to the album section it says: No album founds.
Any help appreciated!
Cheers,
S.

I have a similar issue. I have just installed WP 2.5. I then installed the plugin. It worked once and then I went to load up lightbox. I then read that my theme might have an issue with lightbox. After setting parameter to $lightbox=false I tried to go to scotcoyle.com\gallery and I get a empty directory listing. Similar to whats mentioned above I can see all of the albums when viewing the plugin settings. If I follow a link from the plugins page to the album curiously it works but the page title is "404 Not Found"
Here's a sample
scotcoyle.com/gallery/album/72157604049200166/Bels-in-Tow...
weird. Any ideas?

I have this same problem whenever I go to my photos page (http://eatandrun.com.ph/photos) nothing will show up except for the tags (which i disabled) when I click on any album or tag it works fine.
When also click the refresh button on the bottom of the page, it loads the albums but when i click refresh it'll be gone.
Hope someone have any idea how to fix this. Thank you.

Fixed it, well not really, its just a work around. Apparently db caching doesn't work for me. I CHMOD flickr-cache folder to 777 and change my caching to filesystem.
You can do this by going to \silaspartners\flickr.php on line 36 change define("SILAS_FLICKR_CACHE", "db") to
define("SILAS_FLICKR_CACHE", "fs")

I'm having similar issues as listed in the first post - I also tried changing up the flickr cache to use the FS
- Installed the latest plugin version
- Set my permalink to day and name
- If I try to publish a new post, I see no photos under the photo section, even when I go to the album section it says: No albums found.

jmvictorino,
YOU ARE A STAR!! thank you so much!
your method does work and I can now use this great plugin!
For the post above, are you SURE the permalink have been updated?
Cos I thought that too.... and then on the page where you select the permalink option, at the bottom, I have noticed a warning, telling me something like: IF YOU HAD you .htaccess WRITABLE it would have been successfull, blabla... and with the code that should have been written in that file...
so although you may think you have enabled permalink to day and name, you haven't really.... well you have enabled it in wordpress but it wont work until you change your .htaccess.
For this 3 solutions, cant remember exactly what worked (done it twice and was different):
a) make sure your root wordpress folder is world writable so it can create the .htaccess
b) actually create the .htaccess and update its content with what wordpress tells you
c) make .htaccess wolrd writable
last word of advice: change back the permissions once this is done.
Et voila... with jmvictorino helps above you should have the plugin working. Hardwork really .... but worth it in the end.
This is the best flickr plugin for wordpress!

I second 35mmfrog solution.
1) Make sure your .htaccess is updated with the code given to you by wordpress on the bottom of the "permalink option" I didn't change anything else there after. everything was default.
2) After chmod your flickr-cache folder during the setup phase, make sure you change it back to 755
Regardless, thanks to all this this thread.
