This group is for photos that are exceptional in some distinct way, be it incredible composition, a great subject, or just plain style. If it gives you that excited feeling in your gut, or leaves you with an involuntary grin on your face when you see it, then it is a welcome addition here!

***Please read the following GROUP RULES:
1. In order to be fair, so that everyone gets the opportunity for some feedback on their work, each photo that is posted to the group requires the owner to comment on at two other photos in the pool. Additional comments (above the two per photo posted rule) are of course also always welcome.

2. The group has now moved to invite only, which means only photos that have been invited will be added to the pool. Invited photos will still be moderated as they have all along, in order to be sure everything submitted is in accordance with the rules and description of the group. This is simply in order to keep the group fair, fun, and rewarding to all of it's members.

3. "Snapshots" and photos that do not have good basic exposure and composition would not meet the theme of this group, unless there is some kind of exceptional event or feature in the photo that would outweigh the composition. We are trying to limit the group to the most exceptional photos, which is why we use an approval queue, and why we have moved to invite only. Photos that an admin or moderator feel do not fit the description and/or rules of the group will not be approved and may be removed without notice. Please do not resubmit photos to the pool that were declined from the queue the first time they were submitted, unless there was an error.*

4. Everyone is welcome to join, but please do not post or invite any nudity (or nearly nudes) or anything obscene.

5. Photos that are manipulated are also very welcome, but please do not post completely computer generated images.

6. *ACTUAL PHOTOS ONLY!* Please do not invite or submit photos of paintings, drawings, or anything that may be considered in any way a copy of someone else's work. Also please do not invite or submit Explore Posters - this is not really a photo, but instead a computer generated compilation of work, which we would like to avoid having in the pool.
However, inviting or submitting a photo from that type of poster/compilation is fine.

7. If 2 or 3 photos that are very similar with only slight differences are invited or submitted, we will most likely choose one image to go in the pool so please select your favorite between these kinds, rather than leaving it up to us.

8. Please do not re-post photos that have been posted to the pool before. This is unfair to those who have new work that has been invited, or that they would like to share.

9. Photo theft will not be tolerated in this group, so if you are proven to be a photo thief, you will be banned from the group without notice.

It is simply our intention to have a very structured approach to this group so that it is able to be fair, fun, and rewarding for all of our members. For this reason, we (the admins and moderators of Take A Bow) reserve the right to deny or remove photos from the queue or pool when necessary, with or without notice (depending on circumstances), as well as the right to remove or ban those members who repeatedly disregard the rules and description of the group. Obviously, each occurance will be dealt with on a case by case basis, and members will always be given the benefit of the doubt if a rule has been occasionally overlooked by mistake.
The above statements and warnings apply most directly to those that repeatedly choose to blatantly disregard or break the rules. We will certainly not be chasing down our members for simply forgetting a rule, or making mistake once in a while. ;)
